The Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars (CSDIW) comprises descendants of native and/or immigrant Americans who participated in any capacity in actual hostilities against each other, or in any passive activity with each other during the period May 14, 1607 to 1900. The object of the society is: to preserve the records and historic sites associated with the native and immigrant Americans who waged war in defense of their people’s freedom, liberty, and ideals; to strengthen the ties of fraternal fellowship and encourage cooperation between descendants of native and immigrant Americans; and to foster a spirit of patriotism and continued support and enforcement for all treaties and laws made and agreed upon between the state and federal governments and the several tribes, bands, and nations of Native Americans.
The Ohio Chapter comprises daughters who live in the state of Ohio. We are actively learning and sharing information about our shared cultural heritage.
